Who is your typical client?

Great question. There is no such thing as a typical client. Women, men, young, old, and in between. Everyone needs something different. What unites my clients is that they usually have a vision for their living space, but they can't see how to get there. They feel like there isn’t enough time to climb the mountain, but I’m here to do that for them.

Will you talk to other people about my project?

Absolutely not. Trust and safety are crucial to our work together.

What are your hours?

I’m flexible; I’ll strive to accommodate your schedule.

Will you make me get rid of all my stuff?

Not at all. My role is to make it easy for you decide which of your belongings are helping you live the life you want and which are in the way.

Do you work with seniors and people transitioning to care facilities?

Yes, I love this aspect of my work. A lifetime of possessions can be complicated to work through. Families have a lot to think about and it makes a world of difference to have a neutral person there to help.

My house isn’t clean, does it need to be? Do you clean?

Your home doesn’t have to be clean. The clutter we live with gets in the way of cleaning, that’s a big part of why clutter has such a profound impact on our lives. My work with you is 100% free of judgment! Where it makes sense, we will clean as we go, and when needed, I coordinate outside help.

What happens at the first consultation?

First consultations are often at a cafe. We will talk about your project, what you hope to accomplish, what the perceived challenges are, and what kind of help you need. If you wish to meet at your home, we will have the same conversations, but I will also be able to give you some ideas about how we might proceed.

What is your service area?

I am based on Beacon Hill in Seattle, WA. I am happy to travel as far as needed, and travel time over 30 minutes total per session is billed at $35/hour.

Do you provide removal services?

I can coordinate removal of donations, consignments, trash and recycling. I take small loads myself and arrange contractors for larger projects.

How long will it take?

That all depends on the project. Some people just need a little support, others prefer help the whole way through.

Are you insured?

Yes. I am covered for general liability.

Can you help with preparing a home for sale?

Yes. Moving is a great time to sort and simplify one’s possessions. I can help with that process. I can also help with making your home appealing; painting, decorating and staging are all services I help with.

What if old habits come back?

A word about habits: It’s natural to return to familiar patterns, even if they aren’t serving us well. Every human is a work in progress and it can sometimes take time for new habits to become permanent. I’m available for ongoing coaching as well as tune-ups and maintenance of your new lifestyle. That said, most likely you will find yourself motivated to maintain your new home!
